Thank you for taking interest in what God is doing in my life. Continue reading to learn more about me, my calling and how you can support the work God has set out for me.
My name is Riah Suender. I am a 19 year old worship leader/songwriter from Phoenix, AZ.
The last 5 months of my life have been spent in 3 different countries with a team made up of people from 8 different nations in efforts to know God and make him known. I dedicated 3 months of my life to learning the character of God through lectures, prayer, biblical studies and practical application in relationship with Jesus. Just by dedicating this time to learning who he is, the knowledge I consumed about God changed the course of my life for eternity to come.
With this new found knowledge and change of heart, I spent the following two months of my life on an outreach/crusade. My only job was to follow in the way of Jesus and give my best efforts to represent him well. This practical application of the knowledge I had previously accumulated really shifted my perspective. I began to see the same things that cause a change in my heart start to spark a change in other people’s hearts as well. My eyes were also opened to the harsh realities of the world we live in. I learned much about poverty and privilege.
The places I went, the people I met and the things I experienced brought up a lot of my passions and old dreams I used to have for the future (i.e. becoming a teacher one day, or leading worship one day, etc.) And through all of that, I learned my purpose and my God-given life calling. That is why i am ecstatic to share that God is calling me to a life of fulfilment in full-time missions!
God has given me huge vision for the future. A few of these being: to teach English to children living under the poverty line, to build and operate a safe house in the middle of a Red Light District, to serve and assist in existing ministries with focuses on human trafficking, music ministry, educational ministry and evangelistic ministries with the intent of relationship/discipleship (consistency, not just one-time conversations).
With all the work God has done in me and all the vision he has given me for the future, I am choosing to surrender myself and to respond to the callings, giftings and dreams he has placed in my heart. I have a lot of passion in my heart for the things that God has for me. Now I’m asking you to partner with me in this journey of simply doing the work of the Lord. SUPPORT: How can I help?
Prayer
There is no other form of support more effective than prayer. It is by prayer and through prayer that I am here, that I have made this decision, and that God has spoken this over my life. Prayer unites us with our father in heaven and allows for him to communicate with us. Prayer is the place of encounter with God. So please, open your hearts to him and support me in prayer
“If we pray and ask anything according to his will, he hears us.” 1 john 5:14
2. Finances
If you choose to support me in this way, there are many different forms you can go about it, which i will detail below:
Give-n-receive is where you can purchase T-shirts and/or hand-painted wooden decor signs. I call this “give-n-receive” because you have the opportunity to gift me financially, while at the same time you get to receive a little gift yourself (or for a friend)! One-time support is simply a one-time donation of money, which can be given in cash and check in person or by mail, or by card through my Go Fund Me page. Like “give-n-receive” support, this type of giving will be providing for an emergency savings fund as well as the purchase of plane tickets. Monthly Support is where you get the unique opportunity to partner with me long term and give in smaller amounts over time, rather than all at once like with one-time support. Similar to the give-n-receive and one-time supporters you will be updated weekly by email, but additionally you will also receive a monthly phone call/video chat update as well (if you are not a monthly supporter but would also like a monthly call/chat please tell me!). You monthly supporters are really the foundation of what makes the financial aspect of this possible, as you will be mainly providing for my housing, food, transportation, medical coverage and other monthly expenses.
