When Jessica Dorothy Whitehouse's life was tragically and prematurely stolen away from those whom she loved, cared for and vibrantly celebrated life with, it served as a jarring reminder to us all how truly fragile and fleeting the wonderful things of this world can be. Undoubtedly, a wide array of emotions has truly been felt by all in these past few tumultuous days.
However, much like the complexity of our Jessie's spirit and the balance she continually worked to attain in her own life, there is a duality to these emotions we've been feeling, as the coming together of friends, family--and even strangers--has balanced out the negativity of anger, overwhelming sorrow and disbelief with the positivity of overflowing love, joyous remembrance and the will to steadfastly carry on in the wake of this deplorable act of violence.
Similarly, and with your help, there too shall be a balance between the feelings of powerlessness initially brought on by the unknown circumstances surrounding Jessie's death, and the communal vigor and might we shall feel when we succeed in bringing her killer/s to justice.
With just a small donation from all who care, we shall put together as large of a reward as we can gather, and offer it to anyone who anonymously steps forward and exposes the person/s responsible for this unforgivable act, should it result in their arrest/s and subsequent walk down the judicial path toward whatever fate awaits them.*
Aside from working to keep this page alive, well-funded and prominently featured on both social media and in other news outlets, we shall additionally seek to place a physical sign or billboard in Jessie's front yard at 43rd and Norwaldo (with the landlord's permission, should it be given), imploring members of Jessie's own neighborhood to anonymously come forward with any information they may have that will lead to the right thing being done.
