John Willis - Cancer Treatment

Donation protected
I've created this GOFUNDME account to help my Mom and Dad with expenses that are adding up in the fight against this terrible disease.  They will be taking another trip to Houston this week, in hopes to get Dad well enough to travel to Mexico for an alternative treatment for his cancer.  Mom is on a  leave from work without pay.  She is now staying home full time to take care of Dad.   Many have asked if they can help in any way.

Here's a brief summary:

3 years ago, our dad, John Willis, was diagnosed with Colorectal Cancer.  He has been receiving chemotherapy for the past 2 1/2 years.  In July, his chemo treatments were stopped.  Chemo was no longer working.  The cancer was spreading and getting worse.  In September, Dad's skin started looking yellowish.  He had a tumor that was blocking his bile duct.  Mom and Dad had to travel down to Houston (dr's in Joplin were unable to perform the surgery) to have a tube placed to drain the bile that was being blocked.  3 weeks ago, Dad's blood level came back very low, he was bleeding internally.  A scope was performed and a tumor was found that was bleeding.  This tumor was cauterized.  Due to dad being so weak, Mom decided that she would need to stay home to give him full-time care.  Now, 2 weeks later, Dad's blood levels are still low and he is losing weight.  His cancer Dr. in Joplin is not sure what to do.  Her best recommendation is for Dad to return to Houston for their opinion.  They will be traveling to Houston this weekend.

That happy, smiling, always joking John(Dad) that we all know and love is not doing well at all.  His spirits are down and he is very sad and cries multiple times throughout the day.  Even though he cries when friends and family visit, he loves, enjoys, and cherishes each and every visit from friends and family.  He has such a huge heart with so much love for everyone.  This breaks our hearts to see him like this.  We are so thankful for our hope for a future when sickness and death will be wiped away forever. How we all long for the day when Jehovah will "wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” Rev 21:4.

Thank you for your prayers and for your support.
