HOW IT ALL BEGAN
Growing up in Newark, New Jersey life was not exactly the friendliest when it came to opportunity and growth. In the inner-city, there are not many things offered to help develop and encourage the youth to become more than what their enviroment tells them. That's when it all started.
At 18 years old, myself and a team of four guys, with the same heart, founded a non-profit organization called Ignite Revolution that would cater to reaching inner-city youth. The objective is to provide a safe, drug-free, high energy experience where they can have fun and meet new people, but during the night, be exposed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Our first event started with a worship team and 30 kids. After 3 and half years, it grew to 750 kids and counting. God has really shown his favor over what is being done to reach some of these kids in a way that no one else in our area dares to. The kids are grateful for it too. We have built some quality relationships with them and helped set some of them on a path that has changed thier life forever!

Allowing myself to dive deep into the lives of the kids at Ignite Revolution and seeing how God has blessed our team in ways that go beyond our wildest dreams has provided me with some insight on what I think God wants me to do with rest of my life. For me, I cannot find any greater satisfaction than that of changing the entire course of someone's life and introducing them to a heart-transforming God that loves and cares about their future.
HIS MISSION, MY LIFE
Today, I'm married to the most beautiful women on the planet and we are raising a gorgeous baby girl together. After giving away four years of my life to the kids and team members I have been mentoring, I found that time was needed to really focus on the main things: my wife, my daughter, and my relationship with Jesus. Now, I have stepped down from Ignite Revolution to allow myself to grow and develop my family and it has been one of the best decisions of my life (also one of the hardest). My wife and I are closer than we have ever been and we are really enjoying the subtle moments in our day to day lives that God shows us his loving kindness.
During this time, I have done some soul searching and praying. I've just been asking God for direction and guidance on what he wants my next move to be. This is when his mission for my life became clear to me. A desire to go back to school began to play around in the back of my head, but I wrestled with it because I was not sure if God was leading me to make such a giant move. I'm learning now that big moves are often motivated by a big God.
With my wife's complete support and approval, we decided to go a step further into what we believe is God's plan for our life; moving to Sydney, Australia and attending Hillsong International Leadership College. I will be attending for an advanced degree in the Pastoral and Leadership course and my wife will be supporting me along for this journey.
I've got to say that I would not be able to this without her. She loves Jesus and she whole heartedly believes that he has a great plan for my life. She's so committed to that belief that she's willing to move away from all her family in New Jersey to be with me in Sydney. My wife and daughter are the fuel for me to further my studies and, with their support, I honestly feel like I can doing anything God sends me to do!
WHY HILLSONG COLLEGE?
At Hillsong College, they endeavour to bring knowledge outside of the classroom. What makes Hillsong College different is that its classes and curriculum are integrated and embedded in the life of a living breathing Christian community, Hillsong Church. For it's students, learning doesn’t finish in the classroom. It doesn’t even finish in the areas of church life that we have an opportunity to serve in each week. It never stops.
The life of Hillsong Church brings life to the knowledge they teach in the classroom. It solidifies the theory gained in our lectures and tutorials. Ultimately, it is the spark, the catalyst that launches graduates off into a life-long journey of following Christ and influencing the world for His kingdom.
You can spend a lifetime just talking about concepts and ideas, about leadership or theology, and all the while those things just remain the same; powerless to change your life. It’s not until those concepts and ideas turn into behavior and action that suddenly you really ‘know something’. That simple concept is what makes Hillsong College unique and it's the reason why I chose to attend there.
I work as a Specialist at Apple Retail and one of the things they tell us all the time is; 70% of your learning will come from hands-on experience. Hillsong College allows us to learn academically and gives us hands-on experience by integrating us into the life of it's thriving church.

My wife and I will be saving up money from now until 2016, which is when we plan to make the move, but your generosity will be GREATLY appreciated. Though Hillsong College is one of the least expensive schools to attend, since I will be attending as an International Student, that sort of makes things just a bit more complicated. With application fees, visa fees, accomodation fees, required family health insurance coverage, flights, tuition, and schooling for my daughter, this will be a big investment.
It's an investment with a generational impact, both for me, my daughter, and the countless other lives that the Lord places before us. Your donation will not only be a charitable act of kindness, but a partnership. As I commit to embark on this journey, my success will be your success.
