Arthur

Arthur is a 5 year old service dog who needs surgery as soon as possible. If we get this done Arthur is expected to recover completely, but we can’t do this without help.

We need to raise $737 to be able to schedule the surgery, and we’re trying to raise enough for the follow up care after. 

While giving Arthur some hugs last week, his owner discovered a lump. She took Arthur to the vet today, and through a needle aspiration sample, they discovered Arthur has cancer. He needs to have the surgery as soon as possible to remove the tumor, because of the location (under his left ear). As it continues to grow, the harder it will be to remove the margins to get it all. If they can get it all, Arthur has a great chance of being just fine. We need to make that happen.

Arthur is a very important part of this family in many ways. He's not just the pet, he is the companion, and help. Having gotten Arthur as a puppy, he has been by the side of one of the children through the recovery of  two open heart surgeries, a long illness, **seizures, bad days at school, tears, anxiety, and everything else in between. He has also been the reason for smiles, happiness, joy, and laughter when there were days it seemed impossible to smile. He is a very important part of this family that is made up a single mother, and her four children, but now Arthur needs us.

We are asking for 1,500 to help cover the costs of the surgery, and any follow-up appointments to watch his healing, or, forbid, any complications such as infection might arise. The surgery is estimated to cost up to 737.85, with 157.00 of that being an optional biopsy sent for analysis, to make sure they know what they are dealing with, with certainty. We have included pics of the estimate and bill from the initial visit to show a break down of the costs.
