New Playground for Elroy Elementary

Playground safety and beautification is a priority at Elroy Elementary School.  In the past, students,  community members and teachers have come together to paint murals on walls, paint benches and trash cans and spread new mulch to prepare the playground for the first day of school.  

To keep the above priorities, we are in need of a new playset.  The current playset has several slides with cracks.   Several areas on the playset have been spray painted  with undesirable pictures.  Words have been etched into the plastic and every day play has taken a toll on the outdated educational pieces .  

A new playset will enhance outdoor learning, increase physical activity and bring nature awareness to children's lives. Updating the playset  would give students more opportunities to explore and collaborate safely.  Elroy's playground is open to all children, and this will create a wholesome play environment for everyone in the community.
