Hello! My name is Natasha & my son's name is Dakari but, he is known by his friends & Coaches as DC! Dakari is currently a Jr. , at Needham High School. He's a very respectable, good kid with a big smile & a warming spirit! He's always had the love for sports, especially Baseball! Dakari started playing Tee-ball (The Bluebirds) at the age of 5yrs old. To give you an example of how motivated he is, his older brother was playing Little League, at the same time. As all the younger siblings played near by, you could always find Kari, in full uniform with his glove on, glued to the fence near the dugout, cheering on his soon to be, future Little League team (Miami Marlins). He was funny to watch in action, yelling "Strike!...He's safe & That was a ball", at 5! I remember the Coach (Kevin) telling me , he wasn't going to retire from coaching LL, until Dakari came up thru the program & he kept his word & also made Kari an honorary Marlin and once that happened, Dakari never looked back. He played on every team he could find. It was never too hot or too cold for him to be practicing on his throws & swings. He was determined to get it done & never complained about his schedule or the numerous amount of practices required, all while keeping his grades up. His enthusiasm & love for the sport is just amazing! He played regular season, fill in for pick up games & even the summer travel baseball leagues, until we felt he needed to be further challenged, in a different program/town. In doing so, he joined a great program out of West Roxbury (Parkway LL..Coach Dennis & Freddy). Eventually, playing Cooperstown Dreams Park, Lou TompkinsTravel baseball (Joe G.) & Babe Ruth (Billy). Now that he's in High School, he's played JV & 2 yrs of Varsity. This kid has given the game of baseball his all. His dedication & hard work is finally paying off! He just recently found out, he's been chosen to play in 4-week long Tournaments, for the Under Armour Baseball Factory National Team, starting in late June- Mid August. (Omaha National World Series, The SouthWest Championship, Pirate City World Series & The Firecracker Classis). We are asking for you help! No amount is never to small or will not be greatly appreciated! All money raised will assist Dakari with uniforms, lodging, meals, local transportation, insurance, coaching & training. I really wish & pray I could but unfortunately, I can't do this alone! This a once in a lifetime opportunity for him to do what he love, train with these prestigious coaches, perform in front of recruiters & scouts with the goal of playing College baseball & maybe some day playing much further. He's defiantly put in the work & he deserves a chance. I'm just proud to be his #1 Cheerleader! #TeamDakari
