Ms. Edie's Medical Expenses

My mom (Edie Mack Gordon) has spent her life taking care of others, especially children. She's been a preschool teacher, Learning Center Director, mentor, friend and "Grammy" to many children and parents around the world.
Over the last year, things haven't been so great for Ms. Edie. She lost her home and career because of circumstances out of her control. The stress of bills, loosing her home and her source of income led to her suffering two stress related strokes this summer.
The medical of expenses from her strokes have added more stress. I would like to relieve my mom of her financial and physical stresses by helping raise money to cover her medical costs of her stroke and cover the costs of finding her a new place to live.
I'm asking her friends and people she doesn't know, to help the lady who has spent her entire life helping others.
On January 18, 2015, I will be running the Phoenix Rock and Roll Marathon. I'm asking you to help me raise money for my mom by sponsoring me for $1 a mile (26.2 miles) or making a donation to help Ms. Edie.
