Classrooms for Kenya

Thank you for visiting my page.
I have been lucky enough to be given the opportunity to travel to Kenya with my Sixth Form College this July. The reason for the trip is for “Classrooms for Kenya”, the charity was established in 2006 by The Weald School, West Sussex. After visiting Schools in Kenya they realised that the existing classrooms were not fit for purpose, they were constructed from mud and only expected to last a couple of years. Classrooms for Kenya raise funds to build permanent classrooms across a selection of schools in West Kenya. Every year Students visit to help build the classrooms. This year the aim is to build 6 new classrooms, thereby creating a safe environment for the students to study in.
All students participating have to raise £300, which goes towards the building materials for the classrooms. If I am able to raise in excess of this amount the additional will go towards the cost of the trip which is £2200.
In order for me to raise this money I will be participating in a Mud Run on the 3rd June, with other students and teachers from The Weald. I will also be doing a Tandem Sky Dive in May Half Term, date dependent on weather conditions.
Any donations are greatly appreciated for a very worthwhile Charity, please tick the Gift Aid box if you are eligible.
