Furry Tales Cat Rescue is a Registered Charity, a foster-based rescue agency located in the Smiths Falls and Ottawa area in Ontario. We are working with a wonderful team of volunteers and our primary goal is to care for and re- home cats and kittens who have been displaced, abandoned or are at high risk of being euthanized in the pound system. Furry Tales can proudly announce that we have successfully given over 2000 cats and kittens a new loving him since opening in 2015.
Did you know the average cost to raise a healthy cat is about $1,191.00 a year, from food, litter, to spaying/neutering, to beds, and so much more and then their are the costs to take care of the cats who are not as healthy and require medication or more attention. Now imagine having almost 200 of these healthy and unhealthy cats in our care - the costs add up very quickly. All of our generated income to take care of our beloved kitties is from donations and fundraising although we are growing beyond the capacity we could have ever imagined and we need your help, you can help us make an incredible difference for these kitties lives. Our goal to raise is $3200 as we currently have an outstanding vet bill of $5200.00 that we need your help with. Without your support we simply cannot exist.
