Funeral Funds for Chris Hall

It hurts me to say that someone I've known for about 16 years has recently passed, at the young age of 17.

Christopher Hall was one of my closest friends, even closer than family in a lot of ways. When we met at the ages of 1 and 2, we clearly had no idea that we would be friends for life. Our mothers bonded, and as the years went, we did, too. We played together, talked about our problems together. We also fought a lot, but it was fights siblings would have, arguing over minor, trivial things. Despite the issues we might have later down the line, I would never give up on him.

But for a long time, he had started to struggle with his inner demons, something I could relate to and understand. He started to struggle in school, would break out into mood swings, and just slept for a long time on a day to day basis. It was hard for him to do things, to feel anything other than anger and irrationality.

Today, May 27th, at around 9am I got a phone call from my mom. Christopher had committed suicide the night before, and she was coming home. At first, I didn't know how to react to this news, before I began to cry uncontrollably. I was also the one to tell the rest of my family, which only hurt more.  At this point, I'm in a numb kind of pain, that I'm still trying to deal with.

 Christopher's mom, Jennifer, is like a second mother to me. And with all the support she's given me over the years, I found that trying to help her with funeral costs was the least I could do.

Anything you can give helps his family immensely, I want this to be something that will help him be remembered.
