My name is Ben. I am Kate's son.
I regret to announce that my beautiful mother passed away peacefully in St Thomas' Hospital, London on Monday 16th July at 13:15. She was taken ill last Wednesday and although we thought she was on the mend she had a stroke in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Words can't describe the love we have felt from people that knew her, we are so grateful and it is a testament to the character she was.
My heart is well and truly broken, as is Dexter's and the rest of the family.
She was the one person who always had my back, who would put me first and would do anything for me. I was so proud to have a mum as strong, confident, kind and loving as her and I'm not sure how we are going to cope without her.
She had so much life to live, but I know that she really enjoyed life over the last few years and loved being able to share her life with her followers.
Everything I do, I will do to make her proud and support my little brother the best I can.
We are so gutted, but we know that mum would want us to carry on and continue to be strong, happy and kind as she was.
