My nephew Jacob T. Myers became a member of the "22 Angel Squad" Tuesday 1/15/19. Jacob served 5 years in the US Army as an Infantry Soldier. He served 2 deployments in Afghanistan. In his last deployment, he lost three very close friends. This affected Jake greatly.
Unknowingly, Jake carried a deep seeded demon, that eventually caused him to end his life. Left behind are his wife Karessa and two daughters, ages 2 and 4.

Because Jake is no longer active duty and currently serving in the Tennessee National Guards, his SGLI (life insurance) is no longer active.
The stigma of PTSD discourages soldiers from receiving the help they so desperately need. Jacob has now become a statistic. We need to rally around his family now more than ever.

Jake wanted to be buried close to his friend (Sgt. Eric Houck) who lost his life in Afghanistan. He will be buried Friday with full military honors at the Kentucky Veteran's Cemetery West.
