Deborah Jealous of Him, a beautiful, independent, indigenous women tragically died December 3, 2018, just two days after her 57th birthday. A Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Sister, and friend to many, she will be dearly missed as she has moved on to meet the Creator who has walked with her all 57 years of her life.
Our mother (Debbie) was born in Pine Ridge South Dakota and is a proud tribal member of the Oglala Lakota. Her adventurous and independent spirit brought her to Humboldt County California, in which she made her home for the next 40 years. She will be laid to rest next to her mother (our grandmother) in Porcupine, South Dakota, and THIS IS WHERE WE NEED YOUR HELP.
If you knew her, we are positive you will remember her as a sweet women who greeted you with a smile, and what little she did have she would give to you, asking nothing in return. But most importantly, her most cherished roles she had on this earth where as a mother and a grandmother. With 9 children and 15 grand kids, she was blessed, and would want nothing more than to have all her loves see her to her final resting place.
With the holiday season upon us, and this tragic and unexpected loss, we ask you all to help in any way you can to alleviate this unexpected financial hardship as we deal with this painful change that will last forever.
All proceeds will go towards covering funeral expenses not covered and travel expenses for her family to get her from California to South Dakota.
