Funeral Expenses for Brian Sandlin

Brian Sandlin was an amazing gifted and talented musician and composer living his dream and sharing his talents in Nashville, Tennessee. Brian’s love for music began as a young child.  He knew what he wanted and pursued his goals and graduated from Berkeley School of Music.  Since then he has been making the world a better place wherever he goes.   Brian was 25 when he was tragically killed in a hit and run accident in the early morning hours on November 19, 2016 in Florence, Alabama.  As word got out of this tragedy, friends and musicians flooded social media with comments, videos, pictures, and tributes that has helped to comfort his grieving family.  Some of the comments were " He didn't need or want the spotlight.  Just chilled in the back, but knew the tunes and held you down. He was always there for everybody and helped without hesitation.” “To know Brian was to love him....he was quiet, humble yet passionate and giving. A beautiful and talented soul taken way too soon. He touched so many in such a short time.” He made us all reach for greater heights.” Brian traveled all over New England. He loved performing on the Cape, but especially in Falmouth, his lifelong home. Over the past few years, he worked a cruise ship gig that took him out to sea five months at a time to places like Alaska, Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia.  

I have been a personal friend of Brian’s family for over 50 years.  This is truly an unimaginable tragedy.  I have set up this Go Fund Me account to assist with the cost of having Brian brought home to his family and to cover the cost of his funeral.  If you can help, your kindness will be greatly appreciated.  No amount is too small.  Thank you.
