Help For My Fathers Heart Surgery

April 30th my father was behind the wheel of my car when his heart stopped. He crashed into the woods and was found by a security guard from a nearby building. The police arrived and had used their defibrillator twice while waiting for the paramedics to arrive. It took 6 shocks to get his heart beating again! Once at the hospital they soon realized he had a stroke at some point in time but were unsure of why his heart stopped. In late November of last of year my father went in for a heart valve replacement surgery. There were complications during the open heart surgery and after the surgery. He ended up with an infection in his heart and his other organs started failing, he ended up in a coma. It was a very close call but he made it through and has been living with me trying to heal and recover. He is now being transferred to one of the best hospitals in the country and will require an additional open heart surgery to once again replace his heart valve. The current one is to small and causing his heart to not work properly, they also want to replace his pace maker with one that has a defibrillator made into it. This hospital is nearly two hours away & I'm a single mom of 4, taking care of both of my disabled parents. Between our rent, the car, and all the costs associated with a long hospital stay.. I just don't know how we will manage. My car that was in the crash is mostly un damaged but was towed and cost almost $350 to get back. Now my mom and I will need to drive back and forth to the hospital multiple times per week or even stay at a motel in that area around the time of the surgery. His recovery is going to be a long time & he currently doesn't receive any disability benefits. I really hate having to ask for help but I'm not sure what else to do at this point.
