Our family has experienced a horrific accident resulting in a brain injury to our precious two years old, Olivia. Last week, Olivia suffered from a gun malfunction. At the time of the accident, the operation of the firearm was thought to be inappropriately working and damaged.
Olivia was life-flighted immediately to OHSU (Oregon Health & Science University) where she has received exceptional care. We understand that we have an incredibly long road to recovery. We also have decided that for the health and well being of Olivia, her two siblings and us, we must not return to the place we called home.
We ask that any contribution is made for the immediate assistance in moving and the much longer and ongoing aid in medical expenses. We have experienced so much in the last few days but have been moved beyond words, by the amount of love and support so many have given us.
We wish to thank all the hard work from the first responders, Salem Police department, and OHSU hospital staff.
Olivia is strong, sassy, and determined. She is destined for so much and yet has already made such an enormous impression on this world.
