Fundraising for Eddie’s heart surgery

So after a lot of thought and consideration we have decided to set up this go fund me page to help with medical costs for our French Bulldog puppy Eddie.

We bought Eddie on 20/12/18 and were so excited to bring home our first puppy! We were told that Eddie was fully vet checked and had no health issues, we were over the moon.


On 05/01/19 we took him for his first vet check up at our own vets. It was then that our world completely changed. We were told that Eddie had a stage 5 heart murmur (stage 6 is the most severe). At just 13 weeks old we were told this news and that it would most likely get worse if left untreated. 


The hardest part to come to terms with is that the breeder was told about his heart condition on two separate occasions before we even bought him but yet they chose not to tell us. I have contacted the breeders on a number of occasions to which they have said they are not willing to help. Another devastating part of this is that his siblings all have the same condition (this is on Eddie’s vet record) but yet they still chose to sell them poor puppies too. 


Eddie is booked in for heart surgery on 11/03/19, this involves putting a stent in his heart to widen an artery to enable him to live a normal, happy life. We did insure Eddie the day we brought him home, but as this is a pre-existing condition and the breeders were aware of his condition, he is not covered.


His surgery is going to cost £4,500. We have scraped together as much as possible but we are still short.


We would appreciate every donation no matter how big or small. This is not something I imagined ever having to do but we just want the best for our little boy.
