Fundraiser for Ashley Samuel

One of our bright, young students, Ashley Samuel, passed away suddenly after suffering a medical emergency while traveling on a community service mission to India. We are all shocked and saddened by this tragic loss.
Many members of the PCSS community have reached out to us to ask how they can help remember Ashley. On behalf the Samuel family, PCSS has created a GoFundMe page to help with expenses related to her funeral. If you are interested, please follow the instructions included on this page. In addition, our community will plan a remembrance for Ashley when we return from break next week.
Ashley was a wonderful young woman. She had a heart of gold and a smile that lit up our school. Her family has deep roots at PCSS. Her brother, Jonathan, is a PCSS alum who that has made us proud over the years. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel, were active members of our school community.
Ashley and four other students traveled to India to help underprivileged children in New Delhi. In a recent post about the trip, the students stated they planned to “visit orphaned and needy children who are unable to receive the proper care and love they deserve.” They added: “Our goal for this trip is to visit some of these kids and provide them with gifts that they can enjoy. We plan to give them homemade hygiene packs, toys, and even a lunch during our planned trip over there. Within the week, we will visit an orphanage, a public school, and a school for the blind. All of these children are important, and we want to spend time with them to let them know that they are important...With all of the blessings that we have, we wish to give to those who are less fortunate than us.”
