Fundraise for UN Food Garden -2017

Donation protected
The United Nations Food Garden (UNFG) is a voluntary UN Staff initiative, run by the UN Staff Recreational Council Gardening Club, that is establishing food gardens on the premises of the UN Headquarters in New York. Its aim is to help the UN translate global priorities related to sustainable food systems and greener cities into action and lead by example. The first garden, oficially opened by the Secretary-General in July 2015, consists of ten raised beds and two wildflower biodiversity beds. Since the opening, various edible plants from around the world have been grown in the garden, which were used by UNICEF's and UN Secretariat's staff cafeterias. The garden also serves as a space for communicating the work Member States and different parts of the UN system are doing to support sustainable agriculture and food systems.

The contributions through this campaign shall be used to cover expenses related to the maintainance of the UN Food Gardens.

Thank you for your generous contributions!
