Funding my way to GESS Mexico City

Hello everyone! My name is Delia-Roxana Ionete and I am studying Mathematics with Finance and Economics at City University of London.
I started my life in London last year and I have recently applied at Global Entrepreneurship Summer School. I have been selected out of over 1,500 applicants to participate at the Global Entrepreneurship Summer School, and in particular at GESS Mexico City from 7 to 15 September 2017. They will cover everything without the travel expenses which will be around 1000 pounds. If you really like me and my story, help me to achieve my goal in order to take part at the conference.
I will tell you my story in the following lines.
Blame it on my Mathematics textbook writing grandmother that ever since my early childhood I have been fascinated by the mystery of numbers and their inextricable connection with the world we live in. Later on, I found that these simple symbols could be put together in countless mesmerizing combinations, like the facts of life themselves. When I started school, Mathematics became instantly my favorite subject. I have taken part in as many Math contests as I possibly could in my country, gathering along the years a lot of prizes (more than 50) in Mathematics, Physics, and Literature. I represented my county not only in the National Math Olympiad but also in the ones of Literature and Economy. In the National Olympiad of Economy, I won the 10th place nationwide, this year. The most prestigious prizes I have won so far are the 3rd prize in two consecutive years at the International Mathematics Olympiad "Formula of Unity" hosted by St. Petersburg University, Russia and the numerous national ones. During the period of my intense training for the Economy National Olympiad which took place in April this year, I read some books on economy globalization (The Undercover Economist by Tim Harford, The Black Swan by Nassim Taleb). I understood that a lot of things I had learned in the study of Mathematics, and the skills I had acquired all along, could successfully be applied, by analogy and extrapolation, to this dynamic field. Now, I realize that the economy is the starting point for any major global political decision, an ever changing system that sometimes makes its moves quite abruptly and it potentially affects the life of every one of us. That is why statistical prediction is crucial nowadays and an accurate prediction based on mathematical models can make the difference between soaring or plummeting economies, between random and robust financial decisions. It is therefore that I am absolutely sure that my passion for Mathematics and the interest I have acquired for the study of Economy and Finances combined, could become a successful career for a person like me. I would like to understand much better how Mathematics can be applied trans-disciplinarily to other fields such as the economy, management, and finance, to the top sciences and technology. As a yearly winner of the Math Gazette Contest, the most prestigious Math publication in my country, and my participation in the National Olympiad of Economy, I was offered a paid internship by the Romanian Commercial Bank, the biggest bank in Romania, last summer. Working for 45 days in such an important financial institution gave me the opportunity to see from the inside the way a bank functions. I have been the ambassador of my region for Leaders Foundation (Authentic Leadership Program). I performed a leadership training course for a number of 50 school children in my native town. This year I was elected president of the student organization in my high school and vice-president of high school students in my county, so I could put to use my leadership knowledge, organizing student extracurricular activities and charitable events, under the patronage of Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award. I am the vice-president at Human Resources Division of the Romanian Students Global Confederation and was selected for the Performance in Romanian Education in 2015.
Finally, I can tell you that I really work hard all my life to achieve my goals. I graduated from George Cosbuc National College in Romania with the maximum grade in all the subjects and I also obtained the maximum grade at Romanian Baccalaureate.
My future goal is to become a social entrepreneur and have my own association.
And don't forget: Success comes to those who have the willpower to win over their snooze buttons. You have to ensure that you wake up with determination and go to bed with satisfaction.

Thank you so much for your attention !!!
