I am writing to you as I prepare to start my last semester at Bridgewater College. As I look forward to my senior year, I find I'm already busy with studying for the GRE, applying to graduate school, and doing final research.
Let me tell what I have done recently.
Last school year, I was an intern at the Center for Engaged Learning. I worked closely with the directors of institutions to prepare for events and create the website. I participated at the SRMUN in Charlotte, NC which is a Model UN conference where I represented Uganda, at the International Renewable Energy Agency meeting. This summer, I am interning at the American Councils for International Education in D.C. in the Field Operations Office which supports students from Central Asia and East Europe during the admission process and first two years of school. As a hobby, I am playing softball for the AC team. I am the volunteer at the Kyrgyz Embassy in D.C. by assisting Counselor, to conduct interviews and to process documents. Additionally, I have made time to network at International Development conferences.
Past few years I have been with challenges, as well as, opportunities and new experiences that created a base for my growth as an individual and a professional. Years of research and experience served as a key in my decision in pursuing International Development with an emphasis on Public Health as a career.
Your generous donations will help me to take care of the financial side associated with graduate school applications, necessary school supplies, and living expenses. I want you to know that your kindness and willingness to help will not be forgotten and taken for granted. As I further establish myself, I am going to give back to my community that once believed in me.
