Funding for X-CEPT Art Exhibition

Donation protected
X-CEPT exhibition features work that reflects the experiences of seven-early career artists. The work highlights issues of gender, race, and sexuality, from a traditionally underrepresented view: female and non-binary artists. X-CEPT will be held at Surface Gallery, Nottingham from the 10th to 17th of August 2019 with opening night on the 9th from 6-9pm.

From the performative photography of Maria Varnava’s alter- ego 'Blue Kid' to Georgina Hall’s queer feminist illustrations and an obscure ‘anti-art’ installation drawn from Shannon McFerrin’s imagination, X-CEPT promises to be unapologetically eccentric. On opening night Elizabeth Gray and Mrs Art will give a satirical performance paying homage to iconic pop culture moments such as Freddie Mercury’s video for I Want to Break Free.

This is a self-funded venture and we need to raise £1000 to cover the cost of venue hire, production, installation and exhibiting fees.   We hope you can help us - anything you can give will help support seven newly graduate artists produce the next step in our careers!

X-CEPT is about the time after education, it’s about the future for young artists and it’s about pushing boundaries in Fine Art. Thank you in advance for supporting this fantastic exhibition!
