My life as a woman has done a complete 180 since having children! I went from seeking a career life and never planning a future for family to now having four girls and two boys and holding the most demanding, yet rewarding job there is....... being a Mother! My main focus in life now is giving back to my family all that I can while pointing them to God.
One way my husband and I have decided to achieve this goal is to homeschool our little ones. Education is very important to our family and our hearts desire is to give our children the best tools and curriculum as possible.
Our family is praying and seeking a way to enroll our eldest daughter into a wonderful Christian homeschool program. My daughter began A beka Christian Academy for her first grade year, and since then has learned close to 30 memory verses, the books of the Bible, and countless character qualities that will help her later in life.
She has earned countless recognitions for her hard work and even won the owl award the first month of second grade. This award is only given to one student out of the entire grade. My daughter was awarded for her beautiful cursive she learned in first grade while enrolled in A beka.
Throughout our 10 years my husband and I have been together we have gone through many hardships. My daughter has survived leukemia, we have lost our home due to debt of medical bills, and my husband has worked his way up from being injured at work not being able to walk to now holding a director position for many real estate properties near our area. With all that we have overcome we still are in need for help with the cost of good education.
Our family is trying to raise $800 to cover the curriculum cost for my eldest daughter. Any other money earned will go towards the enrollment of our 4 year old who is eligible for Kindergarten and the construction costs of our new school room.
