Doug’s lifesaving spinal surgery
Life can change in an instant. Doug’s life was forever changed on September 29, 2008 when a drunk driver hit him head on while he was driving his motorcycle. Doug would undergo 22 surgeries over a 3 month span but unfortunately his leg had to be amputated. In 2009 He returned to work and married sweetheart, Demi. On January 6th, 2017 Doug suffered a setback with a series of ruptured, herniated, and bulging disks in his degenerated back which originated from the accident in 2008. His back issues left him constrained to a wheelchair and in a tremendous amount of pain. Doug requires mandatory surgery at the Laser Spinal Institute in Philadelphia to save his life but unfortunately his insurance does not cover much of the upfront surgery costs to enable him to provide for his family. If he were able to get the funds for the surgery, he would then need to get a new prosthesis to align is spine adequately to reduce the wear on his back. With nowhere else to turn, please see it in your heart to donate to Doug so that he can provide for his family.
Life can change in an instant, it could have been mine. It could have been yours.
