How do you thank someone for saving your life?
That is a question many people ask, yet never find the answer to. In 2009, I (Kyla Tozer) had a brain tumor removed and the KHSC neurosurgery team saved my life. I have spent many years learning “the new me” and struggling with an answer on how to thank this team for the new life I have been given. On May 6th, 2018, we will host the second annual NEURO RACE WEEKEND where 100% of the proceeds will go to the KHSC neurosurgery department.
Joseph Reid ran the Toronto Waterfront Marathon in tribute to Gord Downie, who also received care from this amazing team. On May 6th, he too will run the neuro half in honor of Gord Downie, donating all the funds to the neurosurgery department. If you can’t participate, DONATE, or do both. Together we can make a difference and fund the research necessary to save more lives. Help fund the research and fund Joseph to the finish line.
