I am dedicating my summer holiday time to helping Tanzanian entrepreneurs. I am also fundraising 2270EUR. Local entrepreneurs will be able to take out loans with these funds, helping them to kickstart their businesses.

My name is Ahmed Fadel, I've decided to dedicate my summer holiday time to volunteering in Tanzania. I am traveling along with 6 other Googlers to help youth Tanzanian entrepreneurs in starting and growing their own businesses as part of the entrepreneurship programme of Raleigh International (a sustainable development charity organization).
My team will be working alongside 40 Tanzanian youth entrepreneurs in rural locations, passing on business skills and experience, and mentoring them to develop their very own recently-launched businesses. We will also be part of a new Raleigh project to deliver digital skills training to urban entrepreneurs.
Tanzania’s rural population largely lives in poverty, experiences significant unemployment, and a large proportion of the total number of those unemployed are young people. One growing route out of poverty is through setting up their own business. In the past three years 590 Raleigh Entrepreneurs have set up businesses with seed funding direct from Raleigh.
Raleigh International is an international sustainable development charity which harnesses the passion and energy of young people to create lasting change. Since its inception in 1984 over 44,000 youth volunteers have contributed to creating this lasting change in over 40 countries worldwide.
How can you help?
We will be paying for our own flights and vaccinations. However, everyone on the team is committed to fundraise 2270 EUR. This money will be a contribution to the local entrepreneurs (the entrepreneurs will be able to take out loans with these funds, helping them to kickstart their businesses).
