Fund for Siobhan & Hunter Gaffney

Donation protected
Siobhan McDonald Duffy-Gaffney passed away suddenly on December 19th, 2018 at the age of 34 at Paoli Hospital in Paoli, PA. Born December 14, 1984 to Frank and Margaret Susan (née Robison) Duffy at Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital in Darby, PA, Siobhan was an alumna of St. Joseph Grade School, Bishop Shanahan High School, and Delaware County Community College, all in Downingtown, PA.

In addition to her parents, she leaves behind her beloved son, three-year-old Hunter Christopher Gaffney (whom she shared with former husband, Christopher Gaffney), and four siblings who will miss her terribly, including Kiera Duffy (husband Jonathan Kimple and son Wyatt) of South Bend, IN; Sean Duffy (wife Trisha and children Nell, Eve, and Cormac) of Downingtown, PA; James Duffy (husband Kevin Grubb) of Exton, PA; and Keegan Duffy of Vail, CO. She is preceded in death by her “Mom Mom” Mary Louise (née Law) Duffy and “Nana” Margaret (née McDonald) Robison, “Granddaddy” Harry Hunter Robison (for whom her son is named), and cousin Nolan Ryan Robison.

Siobhan worked at Verizon Communications for 15 years, where she was a star administrator, working her way up to the position of Business to Business manager. Adored universally for her open-heart, generous spirit, unpretentious attitude, and great sense of humor, Siobhan took great pride in coming from a large and loud Irish-Catholic family. In addition to her immediate family, she is survived by 29 first cousins, 10 aunts, and 12 uncles, and her “Pop Pop” James W. Duffy, all of whom she loved dearly. She also cultivated a large and tight-knit “extended family” of friends with whom she loved to do Zumba, go dancing, or simply chat on the phone. Most recently she found particular happiness with Andre Costello, whose generosity and kindness filled her heart.

Above all else, however, was Siobhan’s love for her vivacious little boy. Hunter was her “miracle baby” who brought her endless joy and through whom the enduring light of Siobhan’s spirit will brightly shine.

In lieu of flowers, the fund from this campaign will help our family provide the resources necessary to keep Siobhan's memory alive, and, most importantly, be used to support the future of her 3 year old son, Hunter.

Any donation amount is greatly appreciated.
