Fund dog attack victim's family

As I'm sure many of you have seen heard or read in the news about the horrible tragedy that happened in Calgary on January 3rd, 2017 where a sweet innocent 4 year old little boy was attacked and mauled viciously by 2 dogs. The reason the picture is the Batman call symbol is because little man loves Batman and I am sending out a call to you all for help!
I am starting this Go Fund Me account for the family to help them out with their needs. This family are close, dear friends of ours and we would like to help them out however we can! Obviously the parents have had to take extended time off from their jobs to be with their son and focus on his recovery and rehabilitation. They have emergency accommodations which also cost money, and plus they also have their regular bills that need to be taken care of! This family lives out of town and we do not know when they will be able to return to their home but would like to help them with their immediate and survival needs so they can focus on their little man's healing and recovery!
I have made this for $5000 to help with their immediate and some long term needs and anything over and above will go to helping them purchase a reliable vehicle for when they are able to return home so they can safely travel back and forth to Calgary over the long term for his follow up and rehabilitation appointments with him and their youngest son in the vehicle.
I will not update anyone on his condition or health, the family has requested that this stays private, so out of respect for their wishes I will not answer any questions on or off the record regarding him.
All negative comments on this thread and cause will be deleted. Prayers and positive thoughts are needed and welcomed! Thank you all so much in advance!
