Help Izzy

On Friday night, September 27, 4-year-old Izzy Molina began suffering flu-like symptoms.  Her temperature sky-rocketed, hitting nearly 106, and her parents Will and Hannah rushed her to Olympic Medical Center.  After being monitored through the night, she started losing feeling in her left leg, and a sharp pain began in her right leg.  Unable to obtain a clear diagnosis, she was transported by ambulance to Children's Hospital in Seattle.  Within six hours, it was determined she had septic arthritis and was in surgery.  Izzy remains in Children's Hospital in stable condition and is slowly recovering.  It is anticipated that she will remain there for at least one more week.  She will have a slow recovery to include physical therapy upon her return.

Izzy's parents are both Army veterans and served our country with honor and distinction.   Her mother, Hannah, served with the 83rd Chemical Battalion.  In 2013, she was recognized by the U.S. Army as the "Soldier of the Year."   Her father, Will, retired after 20 year of service in 2015 as a First Sergeant, having served also with the 83rd Chemical Battalion.  Will started his career with the 173rd Airborne Infantry, and had 7 combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.

They have great medical coverage, however, due to the severity of her condition, it is expected that they will still have medical expenses beyond what is covered.

The Molina family just relocated to Sequim in mid-September.  Will is a new member of the Ruddell Team. We are asking for any consideration, support or assistance.  100% of the funds will be used to offset their medical expenses.
