Ft Smith cab driver medical expenses & necessities

Donation protected
On February 19, 2019 around 11:00 pm, Fort Smith cab driver, Michael Haynes, was dispatched to a Fort Smith convenience store to pick up 2 guys who needed a ride to N. 6th street.
Against his "gut feeling", he picked them up and drove them to their destination. Upon arrival, he was shot twice. Once in the head and again through his collar bone. He was rushed to the hospital here in town, and by the grace of God, he was awake and talking. After concluding that he was in stable condition, he was then transported to UAMS in Little Rock where a team of doctors were amazed that he was still alive.
The gunshot wound to his head entered through his right ear, and travelled through- breaking some neck vertibrae before becoming lodged into the base of his skull. The bullet also severed some nerves in his ear and neck leaving the right side of his face paralyzed. He still has bullet fragments in his ear that will need to be removed in the near future.
The second gunshot entered through his right collarbone, breaking that bone as well. It then travelled through- stopping in his right pectoral muscle. He was released from UAMS on February 21st, but is scheduled to have that bullet removed here in town soon. He still has quite a long road to recovery ahead of him before he can be released to go back to work.
Mike is the sole provider for his family of 7 at this time. They need as much help as they can get with medical bills and monthly necessities such as rent, utilities, toiletries, any travel expenses that may be incurred during the healing process, ... things of that nature...
Although the goal has been set at $5,000, there's no amount of help that is considered too big or too small. ANY amount is greatly appreciated. We do understand that times are hard for lots of people right now, not everyone will be able to donate money, and that's ok. However it doesn't cost anything to send prayers and/or positive vibes. They're just as much appreciated as monetary donations are.
I'm hoping that we can come together to show Michael that we are a caring community and are willing to prove that love will always overcome hate.
This family needs as much help, love, and support as they can get right now so please share this and have your friends and families share it, also. We would like to thank each and every one of y'all for your thoughts, prayers, donations, and even for sharing this post. God bless you all!

**DISCLAIMER: Michael is my brother-in-law. My sister, Veronica Cogburn, and Mike have been in a committed relationship with each other for almost 15 years now.  I have set this up to where every donation will go directly to her bank account so that they will have immediate access to these funds.
