From Chicago to Morehouse

My name is Gerald Thomas. I am a Marketing/Communications professional. On June 12, 2017 I will deliver the commencement speech to the graduating class of 2017 at Bronzeville Scholastic Institute in Chicago, IL.
While preparing my keynote, I spoke with administrators at the school about their current students. I wanted to know the go-getters, those who have dealt with and overcome struggle and those pushing and hoping for a breakthrough. I learned about a young man, D'Evian West who was admitted to Morehouse. D'Evian has a 4.19 GPA and will graduate in the top 5% of his class. He intends to major in Business but financially does not have all the money needed to attend. D'Evian comes from a single parent household. His Mom is currently pursing a Bachelor's degree and driving Uber to make ends meet. She is also raising 2 other kids.
I'm specifically looking for Morehouse men to help raise money for D'Evian but all supporters are welcome to donate and help spread the word. I want him to go from Chicago to Atlanta already having a network of positive, strong influences who want to see him succeed.
NOTE: D'Evian will be required to send a personalize thank you to acknowledge receipt of your donation. The money will be deposited into my account (per the way I have elected to set up the gofundme) and will be endorsed over to Morehouse college. I will provide a receipt to verify for all donors.
*Mr. West has also been completing 5 scholarship applications a day . He is also connected with the Chicago Chapter of the Morehouse Alumni Network as well. My hope is to present him with a check at Graduation. *HE has NO IDEA that I am doing this*. Let's help change this young man life.
