The Friendship Outreach Center, Inc. is a human service, non-profit 501c.3 charitable organization, operating in Baltimore City since 2004. We serve and empower people in need by providing care in the form of spiritual, financial, nutritional and educational resources.
Last year alone, we fed 6,023 families through our Pantry and Mobile Food Drop, assisted 300 Families facing BGE Turnoffs or eviction and educated 43 People in our Workforce Development Program.
In the past we have used rented space for our operation, but as our client base expands, and the resources and classes we offer continue to grow, we are in desperate need of a suitable space to call our own.
We are pleased to announce the launch of our capital campaign to cover the purchase of 7200 Harford Road. This building is in the perfect location to continue serving our current clients, while also affording the necessary amenities and space to help even more of our neighbors in need.
Within 7200 Harford, we will be able to have designated space for classrooms and a computer lab to support our workforce development, life skills, and financial education trainings. We will have space for commercial grade freezers, refrigerators and dry food storage - essential for the proper storage of the thousands of pounds of food we provide to hungry families with support from partners like the Maryland Food Bank.
Your contribution will go directly toward the purchase of 7200 Harford Road by July 30th. By covering the cost of the building in full, it will allow Friendship Outreach Center, Inc. to devote all of our resources to the people we serve.
