Friends of the Manin Family

Donation protected
As many of you know, the Manin family is going through a lot right now. David is fighting a rare disease and is having a bone marrow transplant at Stanford starting May 17th. This type of transplant requires the family to designate a 24/7 caregiver to accompany the patient through the process, which Amy will do. Therefore, she will be unable to work the duration of transplant and the lengthy recovery. Amy is self-employed, so will have no income while caring for David.

David will be in the hospital 3-4 weeks. Once discharged, he and Amy are required to live within close proximity of the hospital for at least 100 days. Specific types of housing post-transplant  (requiring a kitchen, proper air-quality, etc.) is very expensive in the Palo Alto area and, while insurance is likely to cover a portion of their costs, the out-of-pocket costs will still be at least $100 per day.

We really want to do something for the Manin family, and we know many of you feel the same.  We have asked David and Amy for their permission to do this GoFundMe for the designated purpose of helping them with this housing issue. We are trying to raise $10,000 ($100/day for 100 days) so that they can rent a decent place to live during this time and alleviate at least one of their worries.
