Friends of John Fuery

We, the people of Ardrahan, are organising a number of fundraising events in order to support the family of John Fuery who has recently died, after a brave battle with cancer. John was a valued member of our community who leaves behind his wife Adrienne, and three young daughters Sarah-Louise, Shona and Isabel.
We admire John's wife, Adrienne, for her dedication in caring for her daughters. She was recently awarded by Killian's CarePlus Pharmacy Awards 'Galway Carer of the Year', after being nominated by one of her daughters for the amazing work she does and care that she provides her.
John was well known country wide as a talented stonemason, having worked for over 20 years in the construction industry. John was an avid sports fan with a keen interest in the GAA. John played with beloved Ardrahan and his proudest moment came with winning a county minor hurling title in 1978. In recent years John was a very keen supporter of Ardrahan and Galway GAA.
A group of John’s friends have come together to form a fundraising committee ‘Friends of John Fuery’ Money will be raised from a variety of sources including donations and fundraising events.
All money raised will go directly to John’s wife, and children.
