My dear friend is too humble to ask for help, but she called me on the phone crying today about something tragic that happenned to her & I must try to help. She's a beautiful human being who's in her 40's. She's a teacher for special needs children & she has basically given up her own adult life to take care of her elderly mom for years. Her mom has been sick for a while now & they are making ends meet from day to day, unfortunately last week there was some flooding in her front yard so a company came to help by digging to see what the problem was & they almost hit the gas line! Her gas has been shut off for saftey reason's & they don't know when it'll be on again. She bought some electric heaters but she's been going to a neighbors house to shower. Unfortunately her elderly mom is bed bound so she boils water to give her mom sponge baths. They are doing the best they can to get through this but it could be a while before it's safe to put the gas back on. She was crying, (which she never does), because she doesn't have the money to correct the problem. The people who started digging in her yard should NOT have done what they did without checking with the gas company but now she has to pay to have it rectified & she doesn't have the money to do it. I wanted to help her but I'm also struggling so I told her I would open this page for her. I'm begging anyone who can make even a small donation to please do so. My dear friend has never asked for anything.... she's a selfless & humble woman who trusts that God will help her through this somehow, but when I heard her crying this morning, I knew I had to do something. No heat and no hot water isn't something she (and especially her elderly mother), should have to live with. Please consider helping her & her mom. It doesn't matter how small the donation is. Just that people care. I know that would touch her heart to know people cared,
