HEY EVERYBODY!
My name is Frida Giulia, I'm a performer/dancer and I'm starting this crowdfunding to support my DANCEWEB scholarship for July/August 2018. DW is a prestigious 5 weeks intensive workshop in dance, choreography and performance which takes place every year at ImpulsTanz Festival in Vienna_check out their website HERE ; the scholarship which is offered covers 2/3rds of the total amount required and artists are asked to find the remaining amount through public and private institutions/foundations. Since March I've been mainly searching for support through Italian institutions, getting a lot of nice information about public possibilities ect, but unfortunately there are no suitable grants to apply for at the moment.
DEADLINE IS IN THE END OF JUNE and YOUR HELP IS ESSENTIAL for my PARTICIPATION AT DW18!
DW scholarship fees is 2.150 euro and I have a bit over a month to collect them!
SOMETHING ABOUT ME
With a background in visual arts and ballet, I studied contemporary dance between The Nederlands (CODARTS), Austria(S.E.A.D.), Belgium and Berlin (SMASH_Berlin'13). Since 2010 I worked as freelance artist for several international artists and choreographers, amongst others Rita Vilhena(PT/NL), Dani Brown(US/DE), Alias/Guilherme Bothelo Cie(CH), Aitana Cordero Vico(SP/NL), Giorgia Nardin (IT), Gaetan Brun Picard (F) and Ola Maciejewska(PL/F). Since 2015 I created the performative duo BABY with collegue Viktoria Andersson(SE) and BE WATER MY FRIEND ,in collaboration with CM GRATITUDE(IT/FR)and Sophie Vitelli(IT). Currently I'm performing internationally for Dani Brown and Gaetan Brun Picard in Cliffdancers_The Pilot Ep. 3, a science-fiction show for teenagers, and DANCE CONCERT by Ola Maciejewska; parallely, I'm also working on a new project titled TRICKS FOR GOLD, a research on stage magic, illusion and contortion, co-directing with director/musician Sophie Vitelli and in collaboration with illusionist/ object manipulator Andrea Speranza and scenographer Annika Tosti.
