A week ago, I received an official letter (OQTF: obligation de quitter le territoir français). According to the letter, the French migration authorities refuse to renew my student’s permit and demands me to leave France before November 20th. This is one of the numerous racist and xenophobic policies that strive to ”push away” foreigners, just like the most recent decrete that imposed an abusive increment on university’s tuition fees for non-European students.
For the past few years, this type of expulsions have been taking place systematically amongst non European students allover the country and putting us through a shitty situation that must be fought.
With the university’s help, social media and my friends who have been looking out for me, I’ve found a lawyer who takes care of cases just like mine and will be pleading for mine in a court of law. Once everything’s put in motion, the expulsion will be suspended until a court’s order confirming or derogating the expulsion. This could take a month or even longer, up to five months. During this period of time I wont be allowed to work or leave the country and, if doing so, I could be sent to an immigrant detention center.
This drawing is the product of all the anger and despair that I’ve been feeling and it’ll be available on t-shirts and posters. These can be found in Paris and Bogotá. All sale’s proceedings and Crowdfunding donations will allow me to keep my livelihood through these difficult times and to pay the legal fees in the event I lose the case.
No one’s “not ideal” nor ilegal. Nobody’s presence must be pushed away from the fucking northern globe territories. Freedom to the people to move around freely and to stay wherever we want!!!

Hace una semana recibí una carta de expulsión (OQTF: obligation de quitter le territoire français), según la cual la prefectura rechaza renovar mi permiso de residencia como estudiante y me exige dejar el territorio francés antes del 20 de noviembre del 2019. Se trata de la principal medida de “alejamiento” de extranjerxs, que hace parte de un sinnúmero de políticas racistas del gobierno francés, como el reciente aumento en los costos de la matrícula para estudiantes extranjerxs. En los últimos años, este tipo de expulsiones han venido ocurriendo de manera sistemática en contra de varixs estudiantes no-europexs en todo el país y es una situación horrible por la que debe darse la pelea.
Gracias a las redes en mi universidad y al apoyo de amigxs que han estado pendientes, conseguí el contacto de una abogada que ha defendido varixs estudiantes en la misma situación, y que se encargará de mi caso frente al tribunal administrativo en los próximos días. La expulsión queda suspendida una vez suministremos los documentos y argumentos en mi defensa, estos serán estudiados por el tribunal, que posteriormente decidirá si la expulsión tiene finalmente efecto o no. Este proceso puede durar de uno a cinco meses, periodo durante el cual no tengo permitido trabajar ni salir del país, ya que si salgo, corro el riesgo de no poder entrar o de que me lleven a un centro de detención para migrantes.
Este dibujo sale de toda la rabia y la desolación que he sentido en los últimos días y estará disponible en camisetas y afiches en París y Bogotá. Todo el dinero recaudado gracias a las ventas y a las donaciones de gofundme me permitirán sostenerme durante este tiempo y pagar los gastos de abogadx si llegase a perder el caso.
