Free Arts NYC

My name is Shira Kogan and I am a LinkedIn nonprofit Relationship Manager in NYC. Before coming to LinkedIn, I worked as an intern at Free Arts NYC and in my time at the organization, I absolutely fell in love with their mission to help underserved children "foster the self-confidence and resiliency needed to realize their fullest potential." The program is extremely aligned with the mission of LinkedIn in that it pairs educational arts with mentoring programs, helping youth to overcome adversity and connect to opportunity in the arts and beyond. 

Through this campaign, we will raise the funds to actually host a "Free Arts Day," a chance to be paired up one-on-one as a mentor for the day to make art with Free Arts NYC youth! I personally have participated in a number of these events and they are truly incredible. The last event where I volunteered, I was paired with adorable brothers who told me they wished every day could be a Free arts Day!

I greatly appreciate any donations-- these funds will directly contribute to Free Arts NYC's ability to carry out its amazing programs.

$50 pays for lunch for 10 children at a Free Arts Day
$100 pays for a Free Arts Day experience for one child
$250 pays for year-round training and support for a Teen Arts mentor
