What we are doing!
A 10mile walk starting from the i360pier Brighton to Worthing pier.
We are a fundraising group raising funds for household and mobility equipment for Freddie.
Freddie has skeletal dysplasia (short long bones) the type he has is undiagnosed.
- low Muscle tone
-hyper mobility (extremely flexible making it harder to stand)
- his left knee and hip are underdeveloped which we believe could be the cause to his shorter left leg currently waiting to see a spinal specialist.
- head lag which is caused we believe by the bones not developing at the back of his head and neck.
- He also has many other issues on top of this such as an unsafe swallow so he is fed via a button. He's well aware of food and loves it but always seems to become unwell when he has even the tiniest amount.
- has an ASD (small hole in his heart)
- his chest is smaller which means he is prone to upper respiratory infections and always sounds crackly even when he is well
- poor eyesight and squints in both eyes
- poor hearing unsure if it's congestion or a conductive loss
- overheats and sweats nearly all the time
