Fred the cat

Donation protected
Fred has been hanging around.   He got his name last night at the emergency vet.   He got injured. We thought maybe he got in a fight with a raccoon.  I thought possibly burned. We had no way of knowing.
Fred started looking worse instead of better. We did not want to watch him die of infection. He's a nice kitty and got him in a carrier with a little help.
The vet confirmed Fred was burned.  His wound has been cleaned and he was neutered.  He is approximately two years old.  Unfortunately Fred tested FIV positive.  No, not a death sentence.
Poor Fred did not do this to himself. There are some very sick people in this world. It became more obvious after the wound was cleaned this was a vicious attack.
Fred is chilling on our enclosed patio recovering.  Those who know us know we have a full house of pets.
We hope to find Fred a home.  For now he's resting and enjoying the safety of the patio. Like most things, it will get figured out.
Last night's visit was $477.38.  The bill is in Ralph's name, not mine.
Fred's prognosis is good. He will require at least one follow up visit.
