Treatment for Monique

Monique was first diagnosed with Colorectal Cancer in 2017. Devastated by the diagnosis. As there had been no history of this in her family and given she was only 37. Monique took on chemotherapy treatments and radiation. Shortly after treatments, she underwent surgery to remove the rest of the cancer. Monique remained cancer free for almost 3 years. Then this year in March she was hit with the devastating news that the cancer had spread to her lungs and was then diagnosed with Metastatic Cancer.
She started treatment right away and began the fight again. The first treatments were experimental drugs along with Clinical Trials. After four of those treatments. Monique was placed in the hospital twice. As the treatments caused severe pneumonia and other harsh side effects. She could not continue those treatments.
She is now on another chemotherapy treatment in which the Doctors have said is working well and the cancer cells have shrunk significantly and things are looking very good. As we know chemotherapy treatments along with other medicines can be very expensive. Even with good medical insurance. It is very costly. After each treatment Monique needs red and white blood cell treatments which cost almost up to $800 a treatment. Due to the side affects of the chemo, each treatment causes her blood cells to drop. Which makes her very fatigue and not able to fight off infections should they occur. This is why the blood treatments are needed. We are asking for assistance to help Monique get through the rest of her treatments which will be 6 more. Monique is a wife, Mother of 3 beautiful kids. One who is in college in Louisiana and her youngest who is a Senior in High School. Soon to be off to college. Monique is a very kind hearted bright human being. She loves singing, hiking, and helping others. She is eager to get back to working and doing all those things. Any donations will be greatly appreciated. So we can continue to help Monique beat this thing once and for all.
