SAVE MY SKIN!

$16,235 of $20,000 goal

My name is Apollo, I was born with a rare skin disease called Ichthyosis, I am also diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, Autism, and Encopresis (lack of bowel control).  At 11 years old I still wear a diaper at all times.  Just one of these issues is hard enough on a kid and I am blessed with 4........My mom has taken me to different climates across the US to see how my skin reacts.  When I was born I was almost skinned alive.  Now I suffer from severe cracking, blistering, discoloration, dehydration, and infections. Please check out my facebook page "Apollo's Creed" for more info and to see my pictures.....they say a 1000 words.  By donating you will be helping me my mom, baby sister Tulip and my service dog Penny travel for the best treatments to where I need to be. I can't wait to  start a new life where I can finally be comfortable in my own skin.   Thank you.

Heading into a new phase for Apollo and his treatments at Stanford Children's Hospital. Instead of every few months these will be every week, intense, and expensive! A trip to bay area is at least 10-12 hrs in car, lodging, etc....
Apollo is excited, little scared, but ready to try some new things! Thank for continuing to support Team Apollo!

I grew up with x-link ichthyosis. luckily mine was nowhere near as bad as yours. It is real struggle with all the looks and name calling. You are a inspiration to us all suffering from ichthyosis. Keep up the strength and never be afraid to educate people.
