Foster Dog Jekyll Needs Surgery

Jekyll is an adorable vision impaired puppy who came to Blind Dog Rescue Alliance about a month ago. He's a sweet and energetic young boy who loves to play with his toys and to go on walks! He's currently in a foster home in New Jersey and is doing very well.
Jekyll was born with some physical anomalies and requires surgery. He has hypospadias, which means that the opening of his penis is on the underside. In Jekyll's case, his urethra exits near his anus. The vet's recommendation is to remove his penis entirely as once he is neutered, it will not serve a function and is in danger of becoming infected.
Jekyll's surgery is currently being scheduled, and the minimum estimate for his surgery is $2,597.81.
