This Medical Fund has been created for my nephew Ricardo Scannone, 33 years old, married to Valentina and with a 9 month old son Ignacio born on the 4th of July, 2016.
They live in Venezuela, which unfortunately, has a critical situation of scarcity of medicines and dolar currency, so he is desperately appeling to all kind of help.
On February 18, 2017 he was diagnosed with an esophagogastric adenocarcinoma Cancer with metastasis in the liver, so he is looking for your help to cover the medical expenses for treatment.
He has always been a very healthy person, however, on February 16, went to the emergency room because of a vomit with blood and without suffering any previous symptoms, suddenly life surprises him with this cancer diagnosis.
Chemotherapy treatment was started inmmediatly, which consists of cycles every 21 days. For each cycle he needs 110mg of Epirubicin, 250mg of Oxaliplatin, 880mg of Herceptin, among other medications, as well as exams, Possible medical procedures and hospitalizations.
In Venezuela, where he was born and raised, there are many problems to get the medicines he needs. Venezuelan Social Security has not had them for the last 6 months and patients without resources are not being treated, there is no way to buy them in the country so he had to buy them in other countries at very high prices and difficulty to transport them (some of them need to be refrigerated), so essentially most of them had to be hand carried on commercial airlines.
He has already exhausted all his personal resources, so now I share my story with family, friends, acquaintances and all those who wish to support him and his family.
With great strength and faith he maintains a positive and winning attitude he is sure that with your support he will be able to fulfill his treatment and overcome this cancer.

A todos, mi nombre es Ricardo Scannone, tengo 33 años y el 18 de febrero de 2017 fui diagnosticado con un adenocarcinoma esofagogástrico y metástasis en el hígado, por lo que estoy buscando tu ayuda para poder cubrir los gastos médicos de mi tratamiento.
Siempre he sido una persona muy sana, sin embargo, el 16 de febrero acudí a emergencias por un vómito con sangre y sin sufrir ningún síntoma previo, de repente la vida me sorprende con este cáncer.
Inmediatamente después de la emergencia comencé mi tratamiento de quimioterapia, que consiste en ciclos cada 21 días, y para cada ciclo necesito 110mg de Epirubicina, 250mg de Oxaliplatino, 880mg de Herceptin, entre otros medicamentos, además de exámenes, evaluaciones, posibles procedimientos médicos y hospitalizaciones.
En Venezuela, país donde nací, crecí y vivo actualmente, hay muchos problemas para conseguir las medicinas que necesito. El seguro social no las tiene desde hace 6 meses y los pacientes sin recursos no se están tratando, no hay ninguna vía para comprarlas dentro del país y he tenido la necesidad de comprarlas en otros países a precios muy elevados. Ya he agotado todos mis recursos, por lo que ahora comparto mi historia con familiares, amigos, conocidos y todas aquellas personas que deseen apoyarme.
Con mucha fuerza y fe mantengo una actitud positiva y vencedora, y estoy seguro que con el apoyo de ustedes lograré cumplir con mi tratamiento y vencer éste cáncer.
