Storms Damage Historic Aircraft at Aviation Museum

Storm Damages Historic Aircraft
We are raising money to benefit the OV-10 Bronco Association Inc's Fort Worth Aviation Museum.  A Father's Day Storm did substantial damage to our aircraft collections and facilities.

Our Bell Oh-58 Kiowa, two war veteran helicopter, is a total loss.  Our Cessna O-1 Birddog observation aircraft also sustained damage along with our OV-10 Engineering Factory Mockup, AH-1 Cobra and four other aircraft, a trailer to transport the Kiowa, roof damage and variety of smaller items.  This has been a major set back to ur outreach and educational programs.

Our Kiowa has been a frequent visitor to parades, school, air shows, and community events.  We consider it the most photographed aircraft in Texas having been visited by over 250,000 people over the last six years.  It will be hard to replace.

Any donation will help make an impact to recover from the storms.

Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.

Thank you to everyone who has been so generous in helping us get our aircraft back online. We are still waiting for a determination by our insurance company. We are having a difficult time getting repair estimates on our aircraft and helicopters, primarily the Cobra, Kiowa, Birddog, and OV-10 Mockup.

We have also had a number of direct donations so we are lowering our GoFundMe goal by another $4,000 for a new goal of $33,690.

Some more good news to go with the bad. Bell Helicopter has awarded us a $2,500 grant that will help with the Kiowa and after discussions with the GSA Surplus Property Progam people in Austin, they have determined the transfer fee to acquire another OH-58 will only be $4,500. We are therefore reducing our goal by $4,000 to $37,690. Thak you one and all!

Some of our supporters started a fundraiser the day of the storms. That effort has raised $1,810.00 so we are lowering our goal by that amount, setting our new goal at $41,690. Thank you Facebook friends!!
