I am Jim Wafford, a local business man doing business in Noblesville since 1992. The summer of 2010, I began a FREE outdoor classic movie festival at Forest Park. The outdoor festival featured classic movies every Friday June through Sept on our large inflatable screen.  The past years the free series was trimmed to June - Aug due to expenses.

The cost for featuring a free movie night for the community, averages approx $500 per night. The expenses include purchasing the "Public Performance" license and labor. This year the license fees have been increase greatly. The past year with the help of other business people, we raised almost 80%, my small business covered the remaining expenses. This year with the increase in fees, it will be difficult for my business to cover. Our choices is either to reduce our sixth year or ask for help from the community.

The classic movie festival brings to families, youth and our seniors a low "financial impact" entertainment. It is heart warming to visit with our crowds, meeting and chatting with families & single parents who bring their popcorn and refreshments from home, the seniors which carry on a conversation about their youth when first watch the classics and the delightful conversation with our youth about "movies are in black & white or such as "who is Bob Hope" :)

I would deeply apreciate any help as we all know small amounts add up. Our movies bring laughter and some relief from day to day struggles for movie goers or as we refer to as "our friends and family". Thanks
