First and foremost, I will benefit initially from this and then after a short while another veteran will benefit.
I recently lost my job due to my debilitating depression and anxiety and having overcome Cancer in 2015, I thought I was on the road to recovery, however the "Black Dog" of depression came and sat at my feet again.
This is a very hard piece of editorial that I have ever had to write.
Having lost my job, I therefore lost my income and in desperation, turned to payday loans etc................ "Yes I know!!!"
I have got to a position where I have been forced to hand my trusty car back to the finance company and therefore left without transport and for those of you that know, it is a LOT harder to get work if you do not drive, especially when you are looking at sales and/or agency work.
I am asking for "YOUR" help here, to help me fund a cheap runabout car to enable me to get to and from work (I have been offered a job, but cannot accept until I find suitable transport).
I am NOT asking for you to fund a Porsche, Ferrari, Rolls Royce etc, but to help me raise £500 to buy me a cheap runabout.
This will not only allow me to gain employment, but will also enable me to get out of debt whilst at the same time allow me to do the simple things in life such as collecting the children from school etc.
Once I am back on my feet financially, I fully intend to buy a newer vehicle, meaning that I can then "GIFT" the current vehicle, (The one YOU have funded) to another veteran that may be in the same situation as myself.
So, the biggest question in the world is............ Will YOU help me??
If I am lucky enough to be able to fund two vehicles (if donations go above what I have set) I will purchase a second vehicle and immediately donate it to help someone else in a similar situation.
