Camp Hellnback: Veteran Art Project

This is no sad story. This gofundme is to help grow a positive project for military veterans who use art and conversation to share their stories, and perspective of combatand, their transition home, at Burning Man, a weeklong event in the Northern Nevada desert.
After a successful 2015, we are looking to grow our mission and build some permanent infrastructure.
Art is borrowed or donated from our own campers, as well as independent artists and art therapy programs at active military and veteran hospitals. We pay for shipping and handling, printing and framing, and displays and cases for a large variety of artists.
Our biggest expense is an 8ft high, hexayurt with 8ft long walls. It will be used to show and protect the borrowed art at the event. It is packable and can be transported and stored relatively easy, so that in the future we may be able to travel to other events.
Camp Hellnback will recreate a Memorial Wall this year, but in concert with Da Vinci's Workshop theme, the wall will be cylindrical and hand cranked. Names can be submitted on line at the website, or written directly on the wall at the event. Lumber is the largest cost of the project.
At the end of the burn, we will be collecting road bikes that will be donated to vets to use as transportation for college or work. Though the bikes are free, the transport will be costly.
Finally, we have an interactive art project for visitors to paint 8x8 ceramic tiles with messages or art. The tiles will then be divided amongst our campers and brought to their local VAs across the country to be gifted to in-patients as gifts and messages of support from the Burning Man community.
