Valerie was a beloved sister, mother, daughter, and friend. She loved with her whole heart and gave endlessly to others. Her kindness and free spirit will never be forgotten. To know Val was to love her.
Val was the owner & operator of Val's Café in Lemoyne, PA where her cheerful and sunny attitude brightened the days of all who visited. Her kindness and generosity inspired a strong sense of community among visitors to the café. Guests were always treated as family and those having a particularly bad day would often find their coffee was 'on the house'. Val's Café was also home to the Pay it Forward board where patrons could pay ahead of time for their fellow community members, for instance $5 for a single mother, or free coffee and a pastry for an active-duty member of the military. This spirit of giving and compassion made Val's Café a very special place and Val herself was universally loved and will be terribly missed.
Val was an active member of the Cornerstone Fellowship Exchange church and a supporter of local charity and community outreach programs like Hero in the Fight, a program for those struggling with recovery from addiction.
Val passed away in her sleep due to unknown causes at the age of 33.
Proceeds go to Val's memorial and to her two young children Shaela and Darren, who are safe and are well cared for by their father Jason and stepmother Taryn.
